COVID-19 is back in the news in Melbourne with a fifth case announced today that is linked to those in the City of Whittlesea outbreak. Restrictions are back in play to keep us all safe by minimising spread of the virus - details as they currently stand are as follows:
From 6pm tonight (25 May), metropolitan Melbourne faces the following increase in restrictions:
Keep in mind that Victorian government applies the term "public gathering" primarily to private outdoor gatherings such as a party in the park. It does not mean gyms, conferences and so forth - these activities can continue with current COVID-safe plans but with the addition of masks if indoors.
It's important to note that as a business owner or manager, it is vital to lead by example and ensure you too are wearing your mask. We know it's not always comfortable but it is necessary and required.
